CM Directs Deputy Commissioners and SPs to Report to Headquarters by 10 a.m. to Address Public Concerns

District officials have been directed to visit each taluk and hold meetings with block-level officials to facilitate accurate voter enumeration during the current Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. This initiative aims to ensure that all eligible voters are accounted for and registered correctly in the electoral rolls.

The Special Intensive Revision is a critical process carried out by the Election Commission to revise and update the electoral rolls. This ensures that the electoral lists reflect the current population, taking into account changes such as new voters reaching voting age, those who have moved or changed their status, as well as removing the names of individuals no longer eligible to vote.

This directive highlights the importance of local engagement in the electoral process, as it encourages participation from various levels of government to ensure a comprehensive and precise voter registration drive. Steps are being taken to educate citizens about the registration process and to address any potential discrepancies in the electoral rolls.
