Karnataka MLC Proposes Increase in Milk Prices Amid Rising Production Costs

In response to increasing production costs, S. Ravi, a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) from the Congress party in Karnataka, has proposed a hike in milk prices by Rs 12 to Rs 15 per liter. The recommendation reflects concerns from dairy farmers about the economic pressures they face due to rising feed costs, transportation, and other operational expenses.

S. Ravi stated that the current price of milk does not adequately support the livelihood of dairy farmers, who are struggling to maintain their operations under growing financial strain.
