Congress Questions Vishwaguru Approach to BRICS Summit amid West Asia Crisis Diplomatic Initiatives

Jairam Ramesh, the Congress general secretary responsible for communications, announced that the 18th annual BRICS+ Summit is scheduled to be held in New Delhi later this year, under Indias presidency. The BRICS+ coalition includes the original members—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—alongside new members Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This summit represents a significant gathering of major economies, focusing on collaboration in various sectors such as trade, investment, and sustainable development. The inclusion of additional member countries highlights the expanding influence of the BRICS framework in addressing global challenges and fostering international cooperation. The summit is expected to provide a platform for discussions on issues such as economic growth, climate change, and geopolitical stability among the member states.
