Congress Criticizes Chief Minister for Proposing Special Assembly Session to Condemn INDIA Bloc Regarding Womens Quota

PCC Vice-President Kolanukonda Shivaji has called for the inclusion of a quota within a quota for Other Backward Class (OBC) women in the proposed womens reservation policy. This statement was made during a recent meeting aimed at discussing various socio-political issues affecting the region. Shivaji emphasized that the representation of OBC women in elected positions is crucial for ensuring that their specific needs and challenges are adequately addressed within the framework of womens reservation.

In addition to this demand, Shivaji also urged for action on the Amaravati Outer Ring Road (ORR) project. This infrastructure initiative is intended to enhance connectivity and stimulate economic development in the Amaravati region, which is designated as the new state capital of Andhra Pradesh. The project is vital for supporting the growth of residential and commercial sectors in the area.

The calls for specific considerations for OBC women within the womens reservation agenda align with ongoing discussions in various states about improving representation and equity in governance. Moreover, the Amaravati ORR project has been a focal point of state development discussions, highlighting the importance of infrastructure in shaping regional growth and opportunities.
