Congress Questions Future U.S. Contributions to Indias Foreign Policy

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh shared a video featuring remarks made by U.S. Senator Marco Rubio during his recent visit to Miami. In the video, Senator Rubio discussed his participation in the Quad meeting in India, an important multilateral dialogue involving the United States, India, Japan, and Australia that focuses on security and economic cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. Additionally, Rubio referenced the current political situation in Venezuela, highlighting President Nicolás Maduros regime and its implications for U.S. foreign policy.

The Quad meeting, held periodically among the four nations, aims to enhance collaboration on various issues, including counter-terrorism, cybersecurity, and sustainable development. Rubios comments come amid ongoing geopolitical tensions, not only in South Asia but also in Latin America, where the U.S. continues to engage with regional partners to address challenges posed by Maduros government and to support democratic initiatives in Venezuela.
