CUET PG 2026: NTA Clarifies No Candidates Gained Advantage in Rescheduled Examinations
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a statement regarding the rescheduled CUET (PG) 2026 examinations that were conducted for 565 candidates who were affected by previous scheduling issues. The agency emphasized that there was no specialized evaluation process implemented for these candidates. In light of concerns surrounding the integrity of the examination process, particularly with respect to the differing exam dates and normalization methods, the NTA confirmed that all candidates were assessed using a consistent absolute-marks system.
Additionally, to maintain fairness and comparability across the rescheduled exams, the NTA utilized question papers that had been approved by experts, ensuring that the level of difficulty remained equivalent throughout the testing period. The CUET (PG) or Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate programs is a crucial exam that allows students to gain admission to various postgraduate courses offered by participating universities in India. The NTA conducts this examination annually, following guidelines established to uphold academic integrity and fairness in the evaluation process.
