Defense pensioners to receive digital life certificate services at 200 locations nationwide.

Defense pensioners in India will soon be able to access digital life certificate services at 200 SPARSH (System for Pension Administration Raksha) centers across the country. This initiative aims to streamline the process of verifying the existence of pensioners, ensuring timely disbursement of their pension benefits. Previously, pensioners faced challenges in securing life certificates, which are essential for pension continuity.

The Ministry of Defence has implemented this service to improve convenience and accessibility for defence personnel and their families. By leveraging technology, the digital life certificate service intends to reduce complications and provide a more efficient experience for pensioners.

Eligible individuals can visit any of the designated SPARSH centers, where trained personnel will assist them in generating their digital life certificates. This system not only reduces the administrative burden on pensioners but also enhances the overall efficiency of pension management within the armed forces.

The introduction of this digital service underscores the government’s commitment to supporting military personnel and recognizing their contributions. As more pensioners utilize these centers, it is expected that the efficiency of the pension distribution process will significantly improve, allowing them to receive their dues without unnecessary delays.

Furthermore, the expansion of SPARSH services reflects a broader trend of digitization in public service delivery, aiming to make interactions between citizens and government more straightforward and efficient. Through such initiatives, the government hopes to create a more seamless experience for all defence pensioners across India, fostering a sense of security and appreciation for their service to the nation.
