Digvijaya Singh Calls for Delay in Implementation of Three-Language Policy by PM Modi

A group of parents representing CBSE Class IX students has formally expressed their concerns regarding the mandatory implementation of the three-language policy during the ongoing academic session. In a recent communication, Mr. Singh forwarded this representation to the relevant educational authorities for consideration.

The three-language policy, originally introduced in 1968 and revised in subsequent National Education Policies, aims to promote multilingualism among students. It typically requires students to learn their mother tongue, Hindi, and English or another regional language. However, parents argue that enforcing this policy mid-session could disrupt the academic continuity for students who are already settled into their current language curricula.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not yet responded to the parents concerns. As discussions continue, it remains to be seen how the board will address the issue and what implications it may have for students and their families.
