Direct Contest Anticipated Between AIADMK and VCK in Kallakurichi (SC)

Following the delimitation process in 2008, the Kallakurichi (SC) constituency was designated as a Reserved segment for Scheduled Castes and has shown a consistent trend in electoral outcomes by regularly electing candidates from the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) party. The AIADMK successfully won seats in the 2011, 2016, and 2021 elections within this constituency.

As the party prepares for the upcoming election, the AIADMK is emphasizing its previous government’s achievements while also making promises tailored to meet the needs of the largely agrarian community in the constituency.
