Election Commission Commits to Ensuring Free, Fair, and Transparent Elections in West Bengal, Says Chief Election Commissioner
In a recent statement, Gyanesh Kumar, an election official, assured the public that the upcoming elections will be conducted in a manner that is free from fear, violence, intimidation, and inducements. He emphasized that measures will be put in place to prevent any form of electoral malpractice, including chappa (proxy voting), booth jamming, and source jamming, which can disrupt the electoral process.
Kumars remarks come as part of the preparations for the elections, which are crucial to maintaining the integrity of the democratic process. Authorities are expected to enforce strict regulations to ensure a safe and fair voting environment for all participants. Voter education initiatives will also be implemented to raise awareness about the importance of reporting any irregularities during the election period.
As the election date approaches, officials are working closely with law enforcement agencies to bolster security measures, ensuring that citizens can exercise their right to vote without fear of coercion or violence.
