Enhanced Security Measures Established at Counting Centers in Central Tamil Nadu

Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) from more than 11,000 polling stations in the central region were securely transported to designated counting centers following the completion of voting on April 23.

This operation took place under strict security measures to ensure the integrity of the electoral process. Officials monitored the transfer closely, with law enforcement present to maintain order and safeguard the EVMs, which are critical to the vote counting process.

The elections, part of a broader electoral cycle, aimed to fill various local and regional government positions. Counting is expected to commence shortly after the transportation of the machines, with results anticipated to be released within a specified timeframe.
