Indian Research Institutes Release Comprehensive Speech Recognition Tools for 65 Languages

The project not only includes the speech recognition model but also introduces the Indic DiarBench, a joint dataset specifically designed for diarization and automatic speech recognition (ASR) in Indian languages. Sarvam AI has also been proactive in this domain, releasing a specialized dataset that allocates two hours of recorded speech for each of the 22 prominent Indian languages.
