Former Punjab Minister and his son rejoin Shiromani Akali Dal

Former Punjab minister Prem Singh Chandumajra, along with his son Harinderpal Chandumajra, has officially rejoined the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) party. This significant political move was announced during a ceremony held at the party headquarters in Chandigarh, where both father and son were welcomed back into the fold by SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal.

Prem Singh Chandumajra has a long-standing history with the Shiromani Akali Dal, having served in various capacities over the years, including as a minister. His return to the party is seen as a strategic move that could strengthen the SADs position in Punjabs political landscape, especially as the party prepares for upcoming elections.

During the rejoining ceremony, Sukhbir Singh Badal expressed his pleasure at having the Chandumajras back in the party, emphasizing their contributions to the SAD in the past. He highlighted the importance of unity within the party and the need to work together to address the challenges facing Punjab.

Harinderpal Chandumajra, who has also been active in politics, expressed his commitment to the partys vision and goals. He stated that he is eager to contribute to the partys efforts in serving the people of Punjab and addressing their concerns.

The Shiromani Akali Dal has been working to regain its influence in Punjab, particularly after facing setbacks in recent elections. The rejoining of prominent figures like the Chandumajras is expected to bolster the partys efforts to reconnect with its voter base and enhance its electoral prospects.

As the political landscape in Punjab continues to evolve, the return of the Chandumajras to the Shiromani Akali Dal marks a noteworthy development that could have implications for the partys future strategies and its ability to mobilize support among the electorate. The party is now focused on consolidating its position and preparing for the challenges ahead as it seeks to reclaim its status in Punjab politics.
