Foundation Laid for Four-Lane Road Project in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh

Foundation Stone Laid for Four-Lane Railway Overbridge as Part of Guntur-Nambur Project in Andhra Pradesh

A significant milestone was reached in the Guntur-Nambur Project in Andhra Pradesh, as officials laid the foundation stone for a new four-lane Railway Over Bridge (ROB) aimed at enhancing transportation infrastructure in the region. This ROB is being constructed in lieu of Level Crossing (LC) No. 3 and is expected to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion, particularly for vehicles and pedestrians traversing the busy route.

The project is part of broader efforts by the Andhra Pradesh government to modernize and enhance the state’s infrastructure. The Guntur-Nambur area is a vital corridor for both freight and passenger movement, making this new overbridge a critical addition to the transport network.

The project is anticipated to facilitate smoother and safer transit, as it will eliminate the need for traffic stoppages at the level crossing, thereby minimizing delays. It is also expected to bolster local economic activity by improving access to various centers in the vicinity.

Authorities have not disclosed the estimated completion date for the project, but construction is expected to progress rapidly given the strategic importance of the infrastructure enhancement.
