A 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck the Amreli district in Gujarat on March 29, 2026, marking the second seismic event in the Saurashtra region within a week. The tremor was recorded at a depth of approximately 10 kilometers.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), this recent earthquake follows a 3.3 magnitude quake that occurred in the same region just six days prior. Fortunately, there have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties associated with either tremor.
