Gujarat Ranks Highest in Niti Aayogs Investor-Friendly States Index, Followed by Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu
A comprehensive index has been developed to assess the performance of states and Union Territories (UTs) in various critical areas. The evaluation is based on eight key pillars: infrastructure, business climate, availability of resources, government policy, regulatory ease, institutional environment, financial health, and environmental resilience.
This multidimensional framework aims to provide a clearer picture of how different regions within the country are facilitating economic growth and sustainability. By measuring these pillars, policymakers can identify strengths and weaknesses, enabling targeted improvements and fostering a more conducive environment for both existing and prospective businesses. This index is expected to play a vital role in shaping regional development strategies and attracting investments by highlighting the specific advantages and challenges faced by each state and UT.
