Heatwave in many areas in western States, above normal temperatures in north: IMD

Gujarat has been experiencing heatwave to severe heatwave conditions. In Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, maximum temperatures were recorded at 7.2 degrees Celsius and 6.4 degrees Celsius above normal, respectively.
