Hot and Humid Weather Forecasted in Andhra Pradesh Through April 18

Pottipadu, located in the Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh, has reported the highest temperature of the day at 44.7°C as severe heatwave conditions continue to affect the region.

In addition to Pottipadu, the towns of Gudur in Nellore district and Satyavedu and Varadaiahpalem in Tirupati district have also experienced extreme heat, with temperatures significantly above normal for this time of year.

This intense heatwave has raised concerns about public health and has prompted local authorities to advise residents to take precautions, such as staying hydrated, avoiding direct sunlight during peak hours, and checking on vulnerable populations.

Meteorological reports indicate that these extreme temperatures can be attributed to a combination of high atmospheric pressure and low humidity levels prevalent in the region. As summer progresses, residents are urged to stay informed about weather updates and potential heat advisories issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
