IMD Predicts Monsoon Arrival in 5-6 Days Amid Ongoing Heatwave in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced favorable conditions for the continued progression of the southwest monsoon. According to a recent release, the monsoon is expected to advance into additional regions of the North Arabian Sea, as well as parts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, among other states, within the next two to three days.
The arrival of the southwest monsoon typically plays a crucial role in Indias agricultural sector, providing necessary rainfall for crops across the country. The monsoon generally begins in early June and can last until September, impacting weather patterns significantly. In recent years, variations in monsoon behavior have raised concerns regarding agricultural productivity and water supply. The IMD closely monitors monsoon progress, as it directly affects various sectors including agriculture, water resources, and local weather conditions. Meteorologists urge residents in the affected regions to prepare for possible weather changes associated with the monsoons arrival.
