Inaugural Group of Amarnath Pilgrims Depart from Jammu

More than 4,800 pilgrims have commenced their pilgrimage as part of the first group for the annual yatra, traveling in a convoy of 259 vehicles, which includes both light and heavy transport. Authorities have implemented enhanced security measures along the pilgrimage routes to ensure the safety and well-being of the participants.

The yatra, which is a significant religious journey for many, typically attracts thousands of devotees each year. This year’s pilgrimage is expected to see an even larger turnout. Local law enforcement and other governmental agencies are coordinating closely to monitor the yatra, deploying additional personnel and resources to maintain order and address any potential issues that may arise during the journey.

Officials are advising all participants to follow safety guidelines and remain informed about the conditions along the route to ensure a smooth and successful pilgrimage experience.
