India can achieve over 10% growth by embracing technology and innovation across sectors.
Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has asserted that the countrys economic growth could exceed 10% by fully adopting technology and fostering innovation across various sectors. Speaking at a recent event, she emphasized the importance of digital transformation and modernization in driving productivity and efficiency within Indias diverse industries.
Sitharaman highlighted that sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and services stand to gain significantly from the integration of advanced technologies. She pointed to the governments initiatives aimed at enhancing the digital infrastructure, which includes investments in broadband connectivity, digital payment systems, and support for startups and tech-driven enterprises.
Furthermore, Sitharaman noted that the Indian economy is on a recovery path following disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, with a focus on sustainable growth strategies. The Finance Ministrys ongoing efforts include promoting research and development, education in tech fields, and collaboration between public and private sectors to bolster innovation.
As the world moves toward a more digital economy, Indias proactive approach in embracing technology may reinforce its position as one of the fastest-growing economies globally, potentially attracting more foreign investment and encouraging domestic entrepreneurship.
