India Provides Emergency Relief Supplies to Afghanistan Affected by Floods and Earthquakes
The External Affairs Ministry of India, through spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, reaffirmed the countrys commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan amidst ongoing challenges. Jaiswal emphasized the importance of supporting the Afghan population during this difficult period, highlighting that India aims to assist in areas such as food security, healthcare, and infrastructure development.
Since the Talibans takeover of Afghanistan in August 2021, the country has faced a severe humanitarian crisis, exacerbated by economic instability and the impact of international sanctions. India has previously engaged in discussions with various organizations to coordinate aid efforts and has pledged to deliver supplies to support the Afghan peoples urgent needs. The Indian government continues to explore avenues for facilitating this assistance, prioritizing the welfare of the Afghan population.
