IndiGo Signs Record Agreement with CFM International for Aircraft Engines

IndiGo, Indias largest airline by market share, has announced a landmark deal with CFM International to acquire over 1,000 LEAP aircraft engines. This historic agreement, unveiled at the Farnborough Airshow, is part of IndiGos strategy to expand its fleet, enhance operational efficiency, and meet growing customer demand.

The LEAP engine, known for its fuel efficiency and reduced emissions, will power IndiGos fleet of Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft, supporting the airlines goal of maintaining one of the youngest fleets in the world. Additionally, the agreement includes plans for establishing a dedicated repair facility in India, which will enable IndiGo to maintain its engines locally and reduce turnaround times.
