Indira Canteen Listed as Top Priority in Kochi Corporations Budget Proposal

The Corporation has outlined several significant proposals aimed at enhancing urban infrastructure and environmental management. Among the key demands are the establishment of a 190 Million Liters per Day (MLD) water treatment plant, which is expected to improve the region’s water supply and sanitation facilities.

Additionally, there is a focus on launching a waste-to-energy project designed to address waste management challenges while also generating renewable energy.

To boost transportation efficiency, a series of road projects has been proposed to facilitate better mobility across the city.

Furthermore, the Corporation is advocating for the Vembanad Lake Rejuvenation Mission, which aims to restore and sustain the ecological balance of one of Indias largest lakes, known for its rich biodiversity and role in supporting local livelihoods.

These initiatives collectively aim to promote sustainable development, enhance public services, and improve the quality of life for residents in the area. The proposals represent a comprehensive approach to addressing various infrastructural and environmental issues currently faced by the community.
