Introduction of High-Quality Uniforms, Shoes, and Bags for Students This Year

The Indian government has allocated ₹687.78 crore for the provision of uniforms and essential supplies to approximately 2.7 million students across the country. This initiative aims to enhance access to education by ensuring that students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds have the necessary clothing and materials to attend school.

The funding will be distributed to various states and union territories, focusing on schools that serve low-income families. This measure is part of a broader effort by the government to improve educational outcomes and promote equal opportunities for children, regardless of their economic circumstances.

In addition to uniforms, the supply package may include items such as textbooks, stationery, and other vital resources that contribute to a conducive learning environment. The initiative reflects the governments commitment to promoting education and reducing barriers for underprivileged students, reinforcing the importance of education as a fundamental right.
