Jaishankar Emphasizes Strong Family Ties in India-Suriname Relations

Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has highlighted the strengthening of relations between India and Suriname, describing their partnership as a “robust, multifaceted engagement.” This evolving relationship encompasses various sectors, including infrastructure development, trade, training programs, and cultural exchanges.

The deepening ties are part of Indias broader strategy to enhance diplomatic relations with countries in the Caribbean region. Infrastructure projects include investments from India aimed at improving Suriname’s transport and digital systems.
