Completion of New Projects to Enhance Transmission Capacity

A series of upcoming projects are set to increase the electrical transmission capacity by 15,274 megavolt-amperes (MVA) and expand the transmission line network by 1,822 circuit kilometers. These enhancements are part of a broader initiative to modernize the electrical infrastructure, improve reliability, and meet growing energy demands.

The projects will involve the construction of new transmission lines and substations, alongside upgrades to existing facilities. This expansion is crucial for not only accommodating heightened electricity usage but also for integrating renewable energy sources into the grid. Increased capacity can facilitate the delivery of cleaner energy solutions and contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions.
