Karnataka Milk and Curd Prices Adjusted Starting Today

The Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers Federation, which markets milk and dairy products under the Nandini brand, has announced a price increase for its products, effective from today. This adjustment comes in response to rising production costs and greater demand for high-quality dairy products.

Under the revised pricing structure, the cost of Nandini full-cream milk will now be INR 52 per liter, which represents an increase of INR 2 from its previous rate. Similarly, Nandini toned milk will now be sold at INR 43 per liter, reflecting a similar price hike. Additionally, the price of Nandini curd has also seen an adjustment, now priced at INR 45 per kilogram, a rise of INR 5.

The Karnataka State Milk Producers said that this move aims to ensure fair compensation for dairy farmers while maintaining the quality of their products. As dairy farming progresses into the season of increased demand, it is expected that these changes will help sustain the cooperatives efforts to support local producers.

This price hike highlights the ongoing challenges faced within the dairy industry, whereby producers are combating rising costs of feed, transportation, and processing. Stakeholders within the industry are hopeful that these price revisions can lead to a more stable market environment for both consumers and producers alike.

Customers are encouraged to check local stores and suppliers to find the updated pricing, and the cooperative assures that it will continue to provide high-quality dairy products while working to support the livelihoods of farmers in the region.
