Karnataka Minister Announces Immediate Allocation of LPG to Meet 20% of Hotel Industry Needs Daily

In a recent announcement, Food and Civil Supplies Minister K.H. Muniyappa stated that the government plans to supply up to 10,000 cooking gas cylinders daily to various sectors, including hotels, industrial canteens, restaurants, and roadside eateries (dhabas). This initiative aims to support local businesses by ensuring a steady supply of cooking fuel, which is essential for their operations.

The measure is part of a broader effort to enhance the availability of essential resources in the food service industry, particularly in light of increased demand during peak seasons and festivals. By improving access to LPG, the government hopes to stabilize fuel prices and mitigate logistical challenges faced by these establishments.

Officials are expected to monitor the distribution closely to ensure that all eligible entities receive their allocated cylinders in a timely manner.
