Kerala Government to Hold Nationwide Festival for States 70th Formation Day

The Kerala government has announced plans to organize a nationwide festival to celebrate the states 70th formation day, as confirmed by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. This event, which marks the establishment of Kerala as a state in 1956, is aimed at highlighting the cultural heritage, achievements, and developmental milestones of Kerala over the past seven decades.

In preparation for the festival, which is set to take place later this year, the government plans to engage various stakeholders, including local municipalities, cultural organizations, and community groups, to participate in the celebrations. The festival will feature a range of activities, including cultural performances, exhibitions, and workshops, showcasing the rich traditions and diversity of Kerala.

The formation of Kerala on November 1, 1956, was the result of the reorganization of states in India, where the boundaries were redrawn based on linguistic lines. Since then, Kerala has been recognized for its advancements in areas such as education, healthcare, and tourism.

As the date approaches, more details regarding the festivals programming and various events are expected to be announced by the state government.
