KKCCI Commends ₹28.47 Crore Government Initiative to Enhance Air Connectivity
The Kalyana Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged the government to consider including the region in the next phase of the UDAN 2.0 scheme. This initiative, which stands for Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik, aims to enhance regional connectivity and make air travel more accessible to underserved and unserved airports across the country.
The Chamber believes that incorporating Kalyana Karnataka into this scheme could significantly boost local economic development, encourage tourism, and improve accessibility for residents. The UDAN initiative supports various sectors by facilitating the movement of goods and passengers, thus promoting overall growth in the region.
Since its launch, UDAN 2.0 has focused on strengthening air travel networks by providing financial incentives to airlines for operating flights to remote areas, and Kalyana Karnatakas inclusion could lead to enhanced job opportunities and better infrastructure. As discussions continue, stakeholders are keen on highlighting the potential benefits of this connectivity enhancement for the local economy and community.
