LPG and Fuel Update: Jet Fuel Prices Surpass ₹2.07 Lakh/KL; Commercial LPG Increases by ₹195.50

Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices have reached a historic milestone, surpassing the ₹2 lakh per kilolitre mark for the first time ever. This increase underscores rising global oil prices and increased production costs, which have been affected by factors such as geopolitical tensions and supply chain disruptions.

In contrast, domestic cooking gas prices for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) have remained stable. The last adjustment for LPG rates occurred on March 7, when prices were raised by ₹60 per 14.2 kg cylinder. As of now, no further changes have been announced for LPG prices.

The fluctuation in fuel prices comes amid ongoing discussions within the aviation sector regarding the impact on operational costs and ticket prices, as airlines grapple with rising fuel expenses. The situation highlights the sensitivity of energy prices to global market conditions and their subsequent effects on consumers and transportation services.
