Mamata Banerjee Announces DA Arrears and ₹500 Honorarium Increase for Purohits and Muezzins Ahead of West Bengal Elections

West Bengal Chief Minister has announced that the deferred Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears for government employees will be disbursed starting in March 2026. Additionally, in a move ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections, a ₹500 increase in monthly honorariums for purohits and muezzins has also been introduced.
