Maximum temperatures in Telangana exceed 41°C; temperatures in and around Hyderabad remain below 40°C

Madugulapally recorded the highest temperature in Telangana at 41.4 degrees Celsius, marking it as the hottest area in the state recently. In total, 14 districts across Telangana exceeded the 40-degree Celsius mark, contributing to a significant heatwave affecting the region.

This temperature spike comes in the context of Telanganas hot season, which typically sees high temperatures as summer progresses. Meteorological reports indicate that such extreme heat events may become more frequent due to climate change, influencing local weather patterns. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to stay hydrated and minimize outdoor activities during peak temperature hours. The state government is monitoring the situation, and there are likely to be public health advisories released in response to the heatwave.
