Minister Reports NDA Government Has Achieved 10 of 11 Commitments for Endowments Department
Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, the State Minister for Endowments, has recently outlined several key initiatives aimed at improving temple security, increasing financial support for Vedic scholars, and preparing for the upcoming Godavari Pushkarams festival.
In a statement, Reddy emphasized the importance of heightened security measures at temples to ensure the safety of both worshippers and religious artifacts. The Ministry is reportedly collaborating with local law enforcement agencies to implement these enhanced security protocols, which may include the installation of surveillance systems and increased personnel.
Additionally, Minister Reddy announced an increase in the honorarium for Vedic scholars, recognizing their essential role in maintaining and sharing the traditions and teachings of Vedic texts. This move aims to support the scholars livelihoods and encourage the continuation of Vedic education and rituals within the temples.
Preparations for the Godavari Pushkarams, a festival that draws large crowds of devotees and tourists to the banks of the Godavari River, are also underway. The Minister highlighted the need for improved infrastructure and services to accommodate the influx of visitors during this significant religious event, which is expected to take place in 2024, attracting participants from various regions.
These initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to preserving cultural heritage while ensuring the safety and welfare of the community during notable religious observances.
