Monsoon 2026 Update: IMD Issues Red Alert for Thunderstorms and Lightning in Delhi

Severe rainfall affected multiple areas of Hyderabad on the evening of June 12 and persisted throughout the night, resulting in significant disruptions to flight operations at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

The intense downpour, which measured over 150 mm in certain locations, not only impacted air travel but also caused localized flooding and traffic delays in various parts of the city. Airport authorities advised travelers to check the status of their flights and plan accordingly, as many flights were delayed or diverted due to visibility issues and runway conditions.

Meteorological officials issued warnings about continued rainfall in the region, urging residents to exercise caution, especially in low-lying areas prone to flooding.
