MP Sribharat Assures No Water or Power Crisis from Google Data Centre in Vizag

Sribharat announced that water supply in Visakhapatnam (Vizag) could potentially increase to 2,110 million liters per day (MLD) with the implementation of the Polavaram project. This enhancement in water supply is expected to significantly benefit the region, which has been experiencing rising demand for water due to population growth and industrial expansion.

The Polavaram project, a major multi-purpose irrigation initiative located on the Godavari River in Andhra Pradesh, aims not only to provide drinking water but also to promote irrigation and hydropower generation. Notably, the project is designed to rely predominantly on renewable energy sources, aligning with sustainable development goals and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

Completion and implementation of the Polavaram project are crucial, as it is expected to address various water supply challenges in the region and support the growing needs of both residential and industrial sectors. Stakeholders are optimistic about the projects potential contributions to the local economy and the quality of life in Vizag.
