Mumbai Rains: Landslide Claims Three Lives and Disrupts Mumbai-Pune Road Link; Opposition Criticizes Government Response.

The State government has deployed a 30-member team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to assist in relief and recovery efforts in the Pune district following a landslide in Patan village, located in Maval taluka. The landslide resulted from heavy rainfall that has affected multiple regions in the state.

The NDRF team’s primary objective is to conduct search and rescue operations, ensuring the safety of residents and assessing the extent of damage caused by the landslide. Local authorities are coordinating with the NDRF to provide necessary support and resources during this emergency situation.

Heavy rainfall has led to similar incidents across the state, prompting the government to remain on high alert. Residents in vulnerable areas have been advised to stay vigilant and evacuate if necessary as the potential for further landslides increases with ongoing weather conditions.
