Mumbais Water Reservoirs Report Less Than 7% Capacity Remaining

As of the latest data, the combined water level in four significant reservoirs in the region—Upper Vaitarna, Modak Sagar, Tansa, and Middle Vaitarna—stands at 46,192 million liters. This quantity represents approximately 6.65% of their total live storage capacity.

These reservoirs play a crucial role in supplying water to various parts of the region, particularly in the context of the ongoing water management efforts. The water levels in these reservoirs are closely monitored as they impact both agricultural activities and urban water supply. Seasonal variations, along with rainfall patterns, significantly influence water availability and demand. The current levels may suggest the need for efficient water conservation measures amidst changing climate conditions and rising water consumption.
