Nellore Positioned as an Industrial Hub with ₹10,000 Crore Investment, Says Chandrababu Naidu

Andhra Pradesh former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently unveiled plans to enhance infrastructure in the region by announcing the construction of roads that will connect 25 fishing villages. The project is estimated to cost ₹6.27 crore and aims to improve transportation and accessibility for local fisheries and related activities.

Additionally, Naidu highlighted a project for the desilting of the North Buckingham Canal, which is allocated ₹6.19 crore. This initiative is part of a broader effort to revitalize the canal, enhancing its capacity for water management and supporting local agriculture and irrigation needs.

Furthermore, Naidu announced that seven industries are set to invest approximately ₹10,000 crore in the district. This influx of investment is expected to create job opportunities and stimulate economic growth in the region, contributing to the overall development of the local economy.

These initiatives reflect the governments commitment to improving infrastructure and fostering economic development in coastal communities, particularly for those dependent on fishing and related industries.
