NTA Extends NEET UG 2026 Exam Duration by 15 Minutes and Increases Rough Work Page Count

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced important modifications for the NEET UG 2026 examination. The duration of the exam has been extended to 195 minutes, allowing candidates to complete their assessments from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. This change aims to provide students with more time to address both the examination and associated administrative procedures.

Furthermore, the NTA has decided to double the number of rough work pages available in the examination booklet from two to four. This enhancement is designed to facilitate better calculations and note-taking during the exam, ultimately aiding candidates in their performance.

The NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate) is a crucial exam for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate medical programs in India. The adjustments made by the NTA reflect an ongoing effort to make the examination experience more manageable and student-friendly. As the NEET UG plays a vital role in students admissions to medical colleges, these changes are expected to positively impact thousands of aspirants across the country.
