NTA Justifies ₹200 Fee for Answer Key Challenges, Aims to Deter Frivolous Objections and Prevent Result Delays
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has provided clarification regarding its policy of charging candidates ₹200 for each question challenged in the answer key of various examinations. The agency explained that this fee is designed to deter frivolous objections and ensure that the result processing is not delayed.
According to the NTA, legitimate challenges are evaluated by subject matter experts, and any accepted corrections are universally applied to all candidates’ scores. Additionally, the NTA stated that candidates who submit valid objections will receive a refund of the fee for that particular challenge if it is upheld.
This policy is part of the NTAs efforts to maintain the integrity of the examination process while also streamlining the review of challenges. Candidates are encouraged to raise only substantial and well-founded objections to enhance the efficiency of the evaluation process.
The NTA is responsible for conducting various competitive examinations across India and aims to provide a transparent and fair assessment process for all candidates.
