NTR Collector Highlights Role of MSMEs in National Economic Development

During a recent press conference, Lakshmisha emphasized the significant contribution of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to a nations Gross Domestic Product (GDP). He highlighted that MSMEs play a critical role in harnessing local talent, fostering self-employment, and driving industrial development.

Lakshmisha explained that MSMEs are essential for economic diversification and resilience, creating job opportunities and promoting innovation. In many countries, MSMEs account for a substantial portion of the workforce and contribute to the overall economic stability. He noted that supporting and investing in these enterprises can lead to a more balanced economic growth, benefiting local communities and fostering sustainable development.

Furthermore, he urged policymakers to create an enabling environment for MSMEs by reducing regulatory burdens, improving access to finance, and providing necessary training and support. This, he believes, will further enhance their capacity to thrive, thereby bolstering the economy at large.
