Odisha Chief Minister Declares Free Education from Kindergarten to Postgraduate Levels in Government Institutions
The state government has officially launched the Chief Minister Annapurna Yojana, a new initiative aimed at enhancing food security for its residents. Under this program, beneficiaries of the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and the State Food Security Scheme will receive an additional allocation of 5 kilograms of rice per month at no cost.
This initiative is designed to provide further support to low-income households, ensuring they have access to essential food staples. The Chief Minister Annapurna Yojana is expected to benefit millions of families across the state, improving their nutritional intake and overall well-being.
The NFSA aims to provide subsidized food grains to the population, while the state’s own Food Security Scheme targets residents who may not qualify under the national framework. This new policy reflects the state governments ongoing commitment to food security and poverty alleviation.
Officials have indicated that the implementation of the scheme will be monitored closely to ensure that the resources reach the intended beneficiaries efficiently. Further details regarding the distribution process and eligibility criteria will be made available in the coming days.
