Odisha Eliminates Six-Attempt Limit for Civil Services Exam, General Candidates Allowed to Compete Until Age 42

The Government of Odisha has announced the removal of the six-attempt restriction for candidates taking the Odisha Civil Services examination. As per the revised regulations, candidates in the unreserved category will be allowed to attempt the exam unlimited times until they reach the maximum age limit of 42 years. This change is expected to provide more opportunities for aspiring civil servants in the state, particularly for those who may require multiple attempts to succeed.

In addition to the modification regarding the civil services exam, the Odisha government has also introduced measures to enhance educational resources. Free textbooks will now be provided to students in Classes IX and X, aiming to alleviate the financial burden on families and improve access to quality education. These initiatives are part of the broader efforts by the state government to strengthen the education system and support students academic progress.

The decision to remove the attempt cap and provide free textbooks reflects the governments commitment to educational reform and civil service accessibility, responding to the needs of the youth in Odisha.
