PM Modi commends SRCC for developing future leaders in business and public life

Prime Minister Modi Commends Shri Ram College of Commerce at Centenary Celebration

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a keynote address at the centenary celebrations of the Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in Delhi, acknowledging the institutions significant role in shaping future leaders in business and public life. He emphasized the importance of education in fostering leadership qualities among students and the impact of SRCC on generations of alumni who have made substantial contributions in various fields.

During his speech, PM Modi revisited his earlier remarks about the college, recalling the “Half Water-Half Air” metaphor he introduced in a previous address 13 years ago to highlight the importance of balance in life and business. The metaphor, which has since become a notable reference in Modis public speeches, resonates with the values of adaptability and innovation that SRCC instills in its students.

Modi also addressed the relevance of alumni networks, stating, “Your alumni are the OGs,” suggesting that their experiences and success stories serve as a model for current students. He encouraged students to learn from their predecessors while forging their own paths in a rapidly changing global environment.

In addition to celebrating the colleges legacy, the event featured various cultural programs and speeches from distinguished alumni who have excelled in diverse industries. SRCC, established in 1926, is renowned for its academic excellence and has consistently ranked among the top commerce colleges in India.

The centenary celebration not only commemorates SRCCs achievements but also sets the stage for its future goals in education, research, and community contribution through innovative programs that can address current societal challenges.
