Prime Minister Narendra Modi has commenced his visit to Seychelles, where he is set to engage in discussions aimed at reinforcing the longstanding and robust ties between India and Seychelles. During his visit, PM Modi is expected to meet with various dignitaries, including government officials and local leaders, to explore opportunities for collaboration across multiple sectors such as defense, tourism, and technology.

Notably, the Prime Minister will participate in the celebrations marking the Golden Jubilee of Seychelles independence, where he is invited as the Guest of Honour. This recognition emphasizes the significance of the relationship between the two nations, which has evolved from historical ties to a strategic partnership.

In his remarks prior to the visit, PM Modi referred to the India-Seychelles connection as “steady, strong, and long-lasting,” reflecting the deep-rooted diplomatic and cultural links that have developed over the years.
