PM Modi: Bengal on Path to Historical Progress and Liberation

During an event commemorating Paschim Banga Dibas in Tarakeswar, Hooghly, the Prime Minister addressed historical events surrounding the partition of India. He noted that there were efforts to integrate all of Bengal into Pakistan during this period. The Prime Minister criticized the Congress party, suggesting that it had capitulated to those who sought to fragment the region.

Paschim Banga Dibas, celebrated annually on January 20, honors the formation of West Bengal as a separate state in 1947, following the partition. This years observance included discussions on regional identity and historical grievances stemming from partition. The Prime Ministers remarks reflect ongoing political narratives in India regarding historical events and their contemporary implications.
