PM Modi Emphasizes Energy Security in Independence Day Speech, Assures Adequate Supply of Gas, Fuel, and Urea

In a recent address regarding the nations energy future, Indias Prime Minister underscored the importance of energy security as a critical priority for the country. He highlighted ongoing efforts to expand Indias nuclear energy capabilities, with a target of reaching 100 gigawatts of nuclear power capacity. The Prime Minister noted that enhancing nuclear power capacity is vital for ensuring a stable and sustainable energy supply. Currently, India operates several nuclear power plants and has plans to construct additional reactors to support this goal. As of now, India has an installed nuclear power capacity of approximately 7 gigawatts and is investing in advancements in technology and safety measures in the nuclear sector to achieve the ambitious 100-gigawatt target by the year 2030.
