PM Modi Extends Invitation to UAE President for BRICS Summit During G7 Meeting

This years summit is set to highlight the role of emerging economies in the post-pandemic recovery and is expected to discuss various sustainable development goals, digital transformation, and international trade.
Prime Minister Modis invitation underscores Indias efforts to strengthen partnerships with nations in the Gulf region, aligning with India’s broader strategy to enhance its influence in multilateral forums. The previous BRICS summit was held in 2022 in Uzbekistan, and it played a crucial role in reinforcing the blocs collaborative approach towards a multipolar world.
The G7 summit, of which the UAE is not a member but has been actively engaging with, serves as a platform where major economies discuss pressing global issues, further accentuating the importance of cooperative international relations in addressing shared challenges.
